Forensic Work

I work with attorneys and courts to answer questions that come up at the intersection of law and psychiatry, including, but not limited to, criminal sentence mitigation, criminal responsibility, violence risk assessment, fitness for duty, malpractice, and testamentary capacity. I completed forensic psychiatry fellowship at Yale’s Division of Law and Psychiatry.

Currently, I work with New York’s Office of Professional Medical Conduct to review and testify on cases of alleged medical misconduct involving physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners throughout the state reported to the Department of Health. I am also contracted as a forensic psychiatrist by Connecticut’s Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services to perform competency to stand trial evaluations.

I have received awards and research grants from the American Academy of Psychiatry and the Law, American Medical Association, and Morehouse School of Medicine to investigate psychiatric medication availability in state prison systems across the country. I have a range of experience with criminal cases, civil cases, state, and federal court.

Please reach out to discuss cases and fees further. My CV is available upon request.
